Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update: 16 March 2020

16 March 2020

Capability Scotland provides care, support, and education to disabled people across Scotland.
Since news of the Corona Virus was announced, our Executive Team has been reviewing the official guidance on a daily basis ensuring that any changes are shared and implemented with our services.

A range of measures have been put in place to protect our customers and staff, in addition to our already high standards of infection control.

We continue to monitor events closely and as circumstances develop these are shared with our Executive Team who are able to take decisive action. We continue to liaise with local and national authorities to ensure we are up-to-date with the latest advice and to provide insight and feedback to them as a Care and Support charity.

We recognise that our customers have complex health needs and require specialist staff to support them in their day-to-day lives. As such we ensure that our staff are well trained and experienced in providing such support. Each of our services has contingency arrangements in place and these are reviewed and updated as and when new guidance is issued by the statutory services.

With our sincere thanks, our staff continue to deliver high standards of care, support, and education, and we continue to be reassured by their commitment, professional and caring approach in everything they do.
