Become a Collection Box Volunteer

Could you help us raise vital funds by looking after collection boxes in your local area?

What would you buy for £15?

Thousands of people across the country raise this amount regularly through a wee box that sits on their shop counter. You've probably seen one of our Collection Boxes in your local community, these boxes really can change a person's life. On average each box raises £15 when full. We have over 3,000 boxes throughout Scotland so it soon adds up.

Did you know that just £15 can buy three kits that help our Speech & Language Therapists assess the level of communication of a person who is unable to speak? This work has opened up new worlds of communication to many students at our schools, enabling parents to hear their child say 'I love you' for the first time.

We have dozens of volunteers who help us look after our collection boxes but we need more people and more boxes. Could you spare some time to help? You can fit the volunteering around your other commitments. You'd be a valued member of our Collection Box Team and help us raise vital funds for disabled people in Scotland.

Adopt a Box

Could you adopt a Capability Scotland collection box in your local area? Simply ask your favourite local shop, bar, restaurant or cafe if they could put one of our collection tins on their counter. Then whenever you pop in give it a shake and once it's full you can pay in the money.
