Job Role and Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit a 1 to 1 Nightshift support worker for our Upper Springland Annaty service.

You will work as part of a team, providing a safe and caring environment for one of our Customers. This will include assisting access to community-based activities and resources. You will need to provide personal care (including intimate care) and to support with aspects of their general welfare.

The role will involve health related practices, including mealtime assistance and administration of medication as and when required. Full training will be provided. The role will involve a degree of physical activity, which includes pushing wheelchairs and providing physical support to our customers.

What we're looking for

As part of our dynamic team, you will be involved in working with us to make the customers life fulfilling and support them with daily living.

What is important is your ability to build and maintain a positive relationship, taking their needs into account and their preferences.

We provide extensive training and support to our staff, so whilst years of experience are nice, it's not necessary. However, good values are essential and an understanding of Down Syndrome is useful.

Key Requirements

Experience of working in a similar role and environment is preferable but not essential, as is a willingness to undertake any personal development opportunities.

You should have a care related SVQ Level 3, or the willingness to gain this qualification. You should possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

Please note the shift pattern we are looking to fill will be as follows:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 23:00 - 06:00

Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday: 23:00 - 06:00
