We are currently looking to recruit Support Workers on a relief basis, to work as part of our team in Stanmore Residentail and Respite service.

As a Support Worker, you will be a key member of the team, providing:

  • High standards of support to the children and young people

  • Support in the planning of education, health and wellbeing outcomes
  • Encouragement and support to live as independently as possible

We are looking for 6 Relief Support Workers. Experience is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and have the compassion and patience needed to support complex children, families and other professionals who support them in their day to day lives.

Key requirements:

  • A care related SVQ level 3 & HNC or the willingness to gain these qualifications within a given timescale
  • Able to work flexible shifts including nights & week-ends
  • The ability to deliver high-quality person centered care
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work within a team and also to work on your own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective organisational capability
  • Great team player
  • Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those we support
  • Strong 'can do' attitude
  • A driving licence is required
