Are you looking to make a difference to other people's lives?

We are looking for Support Workers, who are able and willing to work with disabled people in our Upper Springland residential service.

"Making the leap from an engineering background into social care posed many questions and naturally a few uncertainties. Capability Scotland's induction and training structure and ongoing personal development opportunities have ensured a smooth (and enjoyable) transition process. The accommodating, nurturing and proactive nature of the Management and staff teams have allowed me to grow seamlessly into my role and has underlined my decision to embark on my new career path with Capability Scotland" - Chris Mingo, Support Worker

About this Role

You will be an enthusiastic person. We encourage individuals to find a path for their dreams and aspirations, whether you live with us as a customer or work with us as a team member.

At Upper Springland, we prefer passion in people over experience, new ideas, and we like creative thinking over experience. However, experience is also welcomed!

Upper Springland staff enable people with a range of disabilities to lead lives to the full, working closely with each other to support and enable people by offering meaningful activities. These promote and encourage life-long learning, self-expressive skills, as well as engagement and inclusion.

We believe staff and customers are at the heart of our service and work in conjunction to provide a safe and stimulating environment together.

Our aims are to:

  • Support individuals to be empowered and take control of their own lives
  • Support individuals to have choice
